Points shared as Falkirk and Rangers scrap it out

On a wild night at the Falkirk Stadium both sides fought out a 1-1 draw in a very scrappy stop start game.
Falkirk were dominant throughout but fell behind to a Darren McGregor goal against the run of play. A long ball into the box was not dealt with by Falkirk and after falling to McGregor he made no mistake.
Minutes later Falkirk were level as
Rory Loy headed in a lovely goal after a good cross from Baird. A goal which was well deserved following good pressure and many chances created from Falkirk.
The game headed into halftime level which a below par Rangers would have been very happy with.
The second half was one of few chances as the game featured several stoppages including a very nasty looking head clash between Hutton and Tiawo. Loy arguably had Falkirk’s best chance as the game fizzled out but there was nothing much to document in a game played mainly in midfield.
The draw leaves Rangers in third with Falkirk moving into fourth and the final playoff position. Another poor Rangers performance, however, will leave the fans worried that their team might not, unthinkably, gain promotion to the top flight. Falkirk will feel full of confidence on the other hand as they were the better team throughout and looked technically better than their opposition.
